Ohio Gun Owners wasn’t built to kiss rings or win praise from the “Permanent Columbus” political class.

We were built to mobilize gun owners, expose political cowards, and pass pro-gun legislation — even if it rips out tail feathers in the Statehouse.

From the beginning, we knew this approach would come at a cost. We could’ve taken the safe route — only go after Democrats, praise every Republican with an “R” after their name, and hand out endorsements like candy just to stay on the insiders’ good side.

But that’s not why we exist. We’re not here to protect politicians. We’re here to protect your gun rights.

Founding Roots: Built for Battle

Long before pro-gun champions like Rep. Jennifer Gross and Rep. Tex Fischer picked up the torch, Ohio Gun Owners was already in the fight — thanks to the help and support of true legislative warriors like the late Rep. Ron Hood, the late Senator Kris Jordan, and former State Reps Tom Brinkman and Bill Dean.

These men understood something that too many in Columbus still don’t: the Second Amendment doesn’t need to be negotiated. It needs to be defended — with spine, not smiles.

They stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us from the very beginning, and their legacy lives on in the victories we’ve won — and the battles still ahead.

”Political

Most gun groups in Ohio still chase “access.” They want to be liked. They’ll praise a lawmaker for filing a bill — even if that lawmaker kills it in committee. They’ll hand out “A” ratings and endorsements to politicians who stab gun owners in the back when it counts.
Why? Because they value relationships with politicians more than loyalty to the people who they are supposed to be fighting for and fund them.
At Ohio Gun Owners, we’ve chosen a different path.

We build political power — the kind that puts fear into lawmakers when they consider voting against gun owners. The kind that doesn’t beg, but demands. The kind that doesn’t get invited to the cocktail parties — and doesn’t care.

The Power of the Grassroots

We don’t rely on fancy lobbyists or big PACs. We rely on you — the grassroots army of gun owners who make this state run.
Through targeted mail, rapid-response email campaigns, text alerts, social media ads, and viral video content, we mobilize tens of thousands of Ohioans in real time — and focus their fire right where it counts.

That’s how we passed Stand-Your-Ground.
That’s how we passed Constitutional Carry.
And that’s how we’re going to pass HB382the Ohio Second Amendment Protection Act, and the upcoming Ohio Freedom To Carry Act.

When we launch pressure campaigns, committee chairs feel it. Speakers and Senate leaders hear about it. And the media scrambles to explain it.
They can’t control us — and that’s exactly why we get results.

We Hammer RINOs in Primaries

Most groups stay quiet when a Republican kills a gun bill. Some even praise them. Not us.
When a politician betrays gun owners, we bring the heat — especially in primaries.
We roll out digital ads, videos, direct mail, door-to-door literature, radio, even billboards — whatever it takes to make sure gun owners in their district know the truth before they hit the ballot box.

And win or lose, every politician in Columbus gets the message: if you cross gun owners, you’ll have to answer to pissed off gun voters for it.

We Hit Back in General Elections

While primaries are where we clean house, general elections are where we punish gun-grabbing Democrats — especially in swing districts.

Other groups might mail a tired postcard or publish a sleepy “scorecard.” We flood districts with customized outreach — radio, TV, digital ads, texts, four-page mailers — all tailored to how gun owners in that area consume information.

Our team tracks engagement and optimizes everything in real time. That means our message lands, it spreads, and it sticks.

We Don’t Fold. Ever.

Most groups fade when the pressure gets hot. They want to be liked more than they want to win. Their leadership cracks under scrutiny. Their boards panic at the first critical editorial.
Not us.

We’ve been in this fight since 2016, and we’re not going anywhere.

We’ve earned our scars. We’ve earned our wins. And we’ve earned the reputation as the most aggressive, most feared, and most effective gun rights organization in Ohio.
The politicians know it. The media knows it. And if you’re with us — you know it too.

Join us. Get loud. Stay dangerous.
This is how we win in Ohio.
