An armed dad followed a teenage shooter into Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon, on Thursday, Oct. 15, and stopped the attack before officers arrived.
By now you’ve probably heard about the horror in Bend, Oregon.
On Thursday, Oct. 15, a 16-year-old shot his way through a locked door at Silver Rail Elementary. Three children, ages 5, 8, and 11, and a teacher were murdered. A 7-year-old and another teacher are fighting for their lives.
Our hearts are broken for those families. Please keep them in your prayers.
But here’s the part of the story the media is burying.
This shooter came ready for a bloodbath. He opened fire on a man in the school parking lot. Then he threw his gun over the school fence, climbed over after it, and blasted his way through a locked door to get to those kids.
A man on site, reportedly a father of a child at the school, saw him go in.
He didn’t call 911 and wait. He didn’t hide. With children screaming inside, he ran toward the gunfire, chased that murderer into the building, and shot him dead!

The first 911 call came in at 12:59 p.m. By the time officers arrived about three minutes later, the father had already stopped the attack.
Every one of those seconds mattered. Had it not been for that armed father, this madman could have murdered dozens of children.
Even Oregon’s wildly anti-gun, leftist governor, Tina Kotek, had to admit it. She publicly thanked him for intervening and ending this attack.

Stories like this hit me hard. And it redoubles my commitment to defend the Second Amendment.
While it’s true that the primary purpose of the Second Amendment is to defend us against tyranny, it sure is nice to have armed citizens out there in a world going to hell on SSRIs and open defiance of the Christian principles that we were founded on.
That’s what Ohio Gun Owners fights for every single day. Your right to protect yourself, your family, and the people around you when evil shows up.
For freedom,
