I don’t say this lightly, but Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman is quickly becoming Gun Rights Public Enemy #1 in Ohio.
Every bill you and I have fought for — HB382 (SAPA), HB495 (Freedom to Carry), and HB498 (Ohio Self-Defense Act) — has been deliberately sent to die inside the House Public Safety Committee.
And who did Huffman hand-pick to run that committee?
Cindy Abrams.
The same foul-mouthed, anti-gun, anti-life, anti-Constitution “Republican” who told me “F*** you, Dorr” in the hallway right outside of the House chamber.
I of course declined her advances… but that’s who Huffman chose to bury your Second Amendment rights.
And now, while the Ohio House is in session this week, with every elected member physically in Columbus… Abrams has refused to schedule a committee meeting to hear the bills.
The excuse she gives to Statehouse insiders, when asked why she hasn’t moved any gun bills, is because she claims she has “too many bills” in her committee and she can’t get to them all.
But out of the other side of her foul, political mouth, she refuses to do her job of even scheduling committee meetings.
Chairwoman Cindy Abrams is running interference for Matt Huffman, and Speaker Huffman is running interference for the entire anti-gun establishment in Columbus.
And you know what? Guns aren’t the only thing “Speaker” Huffman is screwing us on.
Here’s the brutal truth. Huffman:
- FAILED to deliver solid Republican congressional districts to help Trump and protect the House majority in the ’26 elections.
- FAILED to pass real property tax relief, forcing Ohioans to seek full repeal.
- FAILED to move medical freedom legislation, leaving us exposed to the next round of mandates.
- FAILED to secure our elections. Drop boxes still exist, early voting is unchanged, and the abhorrent voting machines are still everywhere.
- FAILED to stop Chinese/CCP entities from buying Ohio farmland (HB1 is stuck in Abrams’ committee!).
- FAILED to stop the solar farm invasion, destroying Ohio farmland.
- FAILED to stop the influx of AI data centers from globalist, WOKE corporations.
- FAILED to stop the influx of criminal foreign invaders into Columbus, Springfield, and beyond.
So if he FAILED on all of that, exactly what DID Huffman spend his political capital on?
A $600 million taxpayer-funded gift to the billionaire Haslam family, which according to Forbes is worth around $14.5 BILLION dollars.
Not for you, not for your family, not for Ohio taxpayers, not for gun owners..
For a stadium.
We’ve been doing politics in Columbus long enough to know that EVERYTHING is connected, and while OGO focuses on gun rights, our members know the truth:
If a politician betrays you on one issue, they will betray you on ALL issues.
Speaker Matt Huffman is betraying the conservative base on every front.
But unlike the other groups, WE can actually fight back and WIN on gun rights, because our secret ingredient is YOU.
