When Mike DeWine said in early August that he intended to capitalize on the blood of the innocent victims murdered on August 4th in downtown Dayton, we believed him. His decades-long political career prove just how horrific he is when it comes to gun rights, with votes to allow gun-control organizations to sue firearms manufacturers, his joint-effort with Dianne Feinstein to re-institute the Clinton Gun Ban, and more! And now
Yesterday at 10:00am, turncoat Governor Mike DeWine and now-shameful Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted held another press conference in which they announced to the media (it was a “media-ONLY event”) their plan to pass more laws in the wake of the Dayton, OH murders in early August. This round of new laws is designed to massively expand Ohio’s data flow into the Federal Gun Owner Database known as the NICS system.
Ohio Gun Owners exists to represent and intercede for our membership — folks like you — to the political class in Columbus and across our state. We fight hard to advance pro-gun legislation, we fight ruthlessly to defeat the left’s America-hating gun control agenda, our loyalty is to our cherished Second Amendment freedoms and our fealty is to you, our members and supporters. We don’t exist to serve the political class
“Everything is on the table.” That’s what Governor DeWine told Ohioans over the weekend when asked what gun control laws he wants to see passed in reaction to the Dayton, OH shooting that left nine dead and others wounded. At his press conference yesterday morning, Governor DeWine made it clear that he’s launching a full scale attack on our gun rights — and it’s going to happen fast! Please immediately
We have a major problem on our hands. By now you’ve heard about the murders that took place early Sunday morning in the Oregon District in downtown Dayton, OH, just a few miles from where I’m sitting right now at our office. A 24 year-old deranged killer named Connor Betts decided to break every law written on man’s heart and on the books in Ohio by opening fire on and
Ohio Gun Owners’ members and supporters scored a big win for Second Amendment rights yesterday! For the first time since Constitutional Carry was first introduced in 1995, it passed a standing House Committee in the Ohio General Assembly. Before it passed, Representative Ron Hood successfully ran an amendment that stripped out the terrible language added last week by Representative Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield) when he recruited anti-gun Democrats on the committee
The Second Amendment was written as a prohibition on government, NOT on law abiding gun owners like you. Believe it or not, there ARE some states in America where the legislatures take that seriously! That’s why Republican legislative leadership in our neighboring states of Kentucky and West Virginia went to bat for gun owners and delivered the big wins of Constitutional Carry and Stand-Your-Ground for their gun owners. In all,

I’ve got some great news, but I also have some alarming news, so I hope you’ll read this email and take quick action! Good News The great news is that Constitutional Carry is scheduled for a vote in the House Federalism Committee this coming week, possibly on Wednesday. Before a vote happens, however, the Federalism Committee will be holding an “interested party testimony” hearing, and that is scheduled for Wednesday
The Ohio Prosecuting Attorney’s Association (OPAA) is trying to GUT the Ohio Constitutional Carry bill, and we need your help to stop them! If “OPAA” makes alarm bells go off in your head, you’re thinking of the right group. Spearheaded by their anti-gun “leadership” from Franklin, Cuyahoga and Hamilton counties, OPAA is infamous in the Ohio gun rights community for testifying against virtually every single pro-gun bill to come before the
