We’re just days away from the end of the third quarter, and
Ohio Gun Owners cannot go into October short on political gun
powder.
Politicians in Columbus scrambled to put a
Wednesday, September 30 session onto the calendar for
a 90-day gas tax holiday after saying they were not coming back until
after the election. The Freedom to Carry Act is still
sitting as House Bill 495 and Senate Bill
392, and it is NOT on that official agenda,
so if gun owners stay quiet – they will vote on the gas tax and leave
your gun rights in a drawer, and then ask for your vote.
Early in-person voting and absentee ballots begin Tuesday,
October 6, 2026 in Ohio, and Election Day is Tuesday,
November 3. That means the ads, the texts, the
district pressure, and the alerts that make politicians feel it back
home have to be funded now, not after midnight
Wednesday after the deadline comes and goes.
What happens if we fall short? We’ll have to pull our ads.
We’ll have to make cuts in our election program. And if we do that,
I’m afraid we’d let weak Republicans guess that gun owners checked out
for the summer.
I will not let that be the signal from Ohio.

are in town for the gas tax, and so we walk into October
6 early voting and the November 3 home
stretch with a war chest that actually scares the politicians who hope
you stay quiet.

the clock is ticking down.
