Can the Chaos in Columbus Help Our Gun Rights?

It’s chaos in Columbus.

With the biggest showdown over gun control Ohio has seen in years just around the corner, BILLIONAIRE gun-grabber Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group “Moms Demand Action” are rallying in support of Governor Kasich’s Republican Omnibus Gun Control bill (H.B. 585/S.B. 288).

Meanwhile, Republican House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger has been forced out due to an FBI corruption investigation.

And while GOP State Representative Ryan Smith just secured the battle for “interim speaker,” former Republican Speaker Larry Householder is already busy mounting a challenge for the permanent slot.

But folks, sometimes chaos is a good thing.

And it’s this struggle over the Speaker’s gavel in the Statehouse that may just give you and me a leg up in the battle to defeat Governor Kasich’s gun control schemes.

That’s why I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE action.

Will you please click and submit your NO MORE GUN CONTROL petition (linked below) to GOP House Leadership right away?

As you well know, it would be an utter DISASTER for gun rights in Ohio should Governor Kasich get his way.

This legislation would implement so-called “red flag” gun confiscation orders to allow government officials to strip you of your guns with ZERO due process — just because someone complains about you!

That could be just because some crazy “ex” got mad at a picture you posted on Facebook.

Or maybe they’re looking to gin up support for child custody or divorce court – what would help their case more than a previous “gun-confiscation order?”

Not only that, but if passed, the Kasich Gun Control Omnibus Bill would dramatically expand the information on gun owners that Ohio sends to our federal government during the “background check” process — even on citizens that have never been convicted of a crime.

Just as bad, it forces Ohio’s “Background Check” system to comply with any and all future changes our federal government makes to the national system!

While you might not find this concerning under President Trump, just think for a second what that would mean when the next President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder take office and decide they want to make gun owners’ lives miserable!

Governor Kasich knows good and well he’s stabbing Second Amendment supporters in the back with this bill.

But he doesn’t care.

Since he’s term-limited as Governor, he doesn’t have to face Ohio’s Second Amendment supporters again!

In fact, virtually all of the Republican ringleaders for Governor Kasich’s gun control scheme are term-limited, so they’re in the same boat as well.

This has pro-Second Amendment voices within the Republican caucus FURIOUS.

They know Governor Kasich’s gun control scheme is bad policy AND it will likely prove to be political suicide as well.

That’s put BOTH candidates in the running for the Republican Party’s top House Leadership position on the spot.

Like typical GOP legislative leaders, they’re nervous nellies when it comes to maintaining their grip on power.

They don’t want to cross Governor Kasich and risk getting torched in the press for killing “bipartisan commonsense gun control.”

But they know supporting legislation that Michael Bloomberg’s pals are clamoring for is no way to keep the confidence of conservative House members, either.

After all, these left-wing activists are the same people who work around the clock every election year to defeat pro-gun Republicans!

So if GOP leaders know that if they decide to cozy up to Bloomberg’s pals on this Kasich-backed gun control scheme, it could cost them any chance of becoming Speaker of the Ohio House.

That’s why if you and I turn up the heat hot enough, GOP leaders may decide they have no choice but to stand up to the Bloomberg-Kasich mad rush to gun control.

Your signature on the petition linked below is a critical part of sending this message to GOP House leaders.

But I hope you won’t stop there.

Please also agree to your most generous contribution to help Ohio Gun Owners:

1)    Generate 150,000 petitions from all over Ohio insisting the State Legislature STOP the Bloomberg-Kasich anti-gun assault;

2)    Use email, social media and Internet ads to mobilize an additional 50,000 Ohio citizens;

3)    Work the blogs and granting media interviews to explain to law-abiding gun owners the stakes we face;

4)    Pay for hard-hitting radio, newspaper and even TV ads if I can raise the resources.

A program this large isn’t going to be cheap.

The good news is, however, with the chaos going on in Columbus right now — and the long-term Ohio Speaker of the House position up for grabs — we CAN defeat this radical gun control scheme.

But that won’t happen if you and I don’t act.

So please help Ohio Gun Owners turn up the heat on House GOP leadership by clicking and submitting your petition along with your most generous contribution.

Whatever you can do will help.

But I hope you’ll agree to dig deep today and consider a contribution of $100.

I know that’s a lot to ask for.  But Governor Kasich, the media and Bloomberg’s well-funded lieutenants are pulling out all the stops to RAM gun control into law.

The only thing that can stop this freight train is YOU!  So please give as generously as you can.

Of course, if $100 is just too much, please consider $50 or at least $25.

This the biggest battle over gun control Ohio has seen in recent memory.  We have to fight with all we have.

So please click and fill out your petition and return it with your most generous contribution of $100, $50, $25 — or whatever you can afford — TODAY!

P.S.    Both candidates for Speaker of the Ohio House know that if they stab gun owners in the back, it could cost them any chance at the job.  That’s why, if you and I can turn up the heat on them hot enough, they will realize they have no choice but to KILL Governor Kasich’s Gun Control Omnibus Bill (H.B. 585/S.B. 288).

That’s why I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE action.

Will you please click and fill out your NO MORE GUN CONTROL petition to GOP House Leadership, and submit it to me right away with your most generous contribution of $100, $50, $25 or whatever amount you fan afford at once?
