Riots, Looting and Fire — Stand Your Ground!

Rioting in the streets.

Black Lives Matter “protesters” bashing out the windows and graffitiing our beautiful Ohio Statehouse.

A Cincinnati police officer shot in the head, saved only by his Kevlar helmet.

Millions upon millions of dollars of private property destroyed by angry mobs.

Curfews.

Anarchy.

And they don’t want to stop there.

They want to go into the suburbs and shatter the safety and security of every part of the life you and your family have worked so hard to build:

The fact is, the radical left has NEVER been afraid of using physical violence to achieve their horrifying goals.

Think of nearly any recent mass-shooting: virtually every single one of them was carried out by a radicalized hard-line leftist.

And you know what? They aren’t going to stop now simply because it is 2020.

In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if the radical left is attacking civilized society in this precious country BECAUSE it is 2020 and President Trump is on the ballot in November!

But as awful and terrible as the damage these “progressives” are inflicting on this country is, there is a silver lining: the Ohio General Assembly has never had a better reason to pass Stand-Your-Ground law than right as this very moment.

You see, in Second Amendment politics, timing is everything.

Right now, the ingredients I just mentioned and the timing are all screaming that now is our chance to pass a Stand-Your-Ground law.

So Chris, you and I need to act, and we need to act NOW.

That’s why I’m asking you to focus on doing everything you can to pass Stand-Your-Ground law for the next two weeks.

Two weeks from now, the Ohio General Assembly will be on summer break, and this fight will be either won or postponed again.

That means between now and then we need to crank up the dial in Columbus to PRESSURE COOKER levels so that every single Republican in the Statehouse knows that the grassroots insist on passing Stand-Your-Ground BEFORE they go on summer break!

ACTION ALERT:

I’m asking you to do two things right away.

1) Email your state representative and state senator and tell them to pass Stand-Your-Ground law (HB381, SB237) NOW!

Not next year. Not after the next elections are over. Not when the politicians finally muster up the testicular fortitude to deliver what they promised a decade ago.

Now.

The OGO Stand-Your-Ground bill makes it so that a citizen can defend themselves against violent attack anywhere they have a lawful right to be, without a legal obligation to attempt to retreat.

The fact of the matter is that some people are simply not in a condition to try to retreat from an attacker before taking reasonable measures to defend themselves.

Elderly people, parents with kids, disabled people and many many others don’t have the luxury of trying to make a mental decision that they have attempted to retreat far enough that it could convince a jury before they take steps to defend themselves.

Passing Stand-Your-Ground law right now would send the clear-cut message to every criminal: the state of Ohio is a state ruled by law and order, not riotous mobs, and Ohio law backstops the lawful citizen who takes reasonable measures to defend themselves!

This law would mean so much security to so many people just like you, so please send your message immediately!

The good news is, HB381 is on the committee docket for Thursday morning at 9am, and could very well make it out of committee in time to be voted on during next week’s session.

It all depends upon what you do right now.

Your representative and senator need to be hearing from you every single day, because I know for a personal fact that Bloomberg’s fanatics are going absolutely NUTS trying to stop this bill from passing.

So please don’t ignore this email and do nothing – please send your email NOW!

Ohio Gun Owners fights like hell, and the only way we are able to do so is because we count on your generosity to sustain this fight.

So whether that generosity means you can afford to donate $500 or $5, the fact of the matter is that we need it now.

Chris, we must not let this chance pass us by.

For Ohio,

Chris Dorr
Executive Director
Ohio Gun Owners
