Happy Independence Day from the board of directors of Ohio Gun Owners!
On this day 243 years ago, our nation adopted its Declaration of Independence, telling England their days of tyranny were over and that we would be a sovereign nation forever more.
During the weeks and months before the Declaration, private individuals and loose affiliations of people began to purchase and store weapons as a contingency for all-out war with England.
Hearing that everyday men and women were arming themselves, the British commander (a gun-grabber!) sent troops to seize the weapons, and that sparked the battle of Concord which ignited the rush to the Revolutionary War.
While that took place nearly 250 years ago, today we sadly have more gun grabbers than ever before in this country seeking to put an end to private ownership of weapons that you and I use for self-defense and as an final check on tyrannical government.
But thankfully, like America of old, we still have Patriots like you willing to take action to defend their right to defend themselves, too!
That is our mission here at Ohio Gun Owners.
